Extremely rare NWA 4701 specimens with brilliant etch patterns! This gorgeous, nickel-rich IAB, octahedrite from the Saharan desert has been provisionally named NWA 4710. As you can see, this is a visually stunning meteorite with delicate, brilliant Widmanstatten patterns that are simply incredible! This is one of our favorite irons! The total weight of the meteorite is unknown, but probably very low, and there is very little of this stunningly beautiful iron for collectors. The final elemental composition, as determined by replicate analysis by UCLA is: Cr 15 µg/g , Co 5.49 mg/g, Ni 107.8 mg/g, Cu 192 µg/g, Ga 22 µg/g, Ge 67 µg/g, As 23.5 µg/g, W 0.26 µg/g, Ir 0.194 µg/g, Pt 2.4 µg/g, Au 2.344 µg/g.
